STAFF

WE HAVE A DEDICATED TEAM THAT UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF WORKING WELL TOGETHER.   We also have Volunteers who willingly give their time too.

Photos and names of our members of staff are displayed on our Notice Board – this also includes their qualifications too.

MANY PARENTS EXPRESS THROUGH COMMENTS, CARDS AND QUESTIONNAIRES THAT THEY VALUE SUCH A WARM AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT AND FEEL RELAXED KNOWING  THEY ARE LEAVING THEIR CHILD IN OUR CAPABLE HANDS.  OUR OFSTED REPORT (OCTOBER 2015) ALSO IDENTIFIES GOOD RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF AND PARENTS AND CHILDREN

We may work to above child ratio requirements which is 1 adults to 4 children under the age of 3rs and 1 adult to 8 children above the age of 3yrs.  Our Manager (Brenda Smith) is not normally included in the Staff Ratio but is normally on-site.

Even though we work as a Key Person approach, a member of staff will help /support  ANY child when and where necessary during the general routine of the day – and we help each other by taking notes and passing on to other Key Persons.

Our main team  consists of a MANAGER, A DEPUTY AND FOUR PRACTITIONERS.  We also have other D.B.S approved Carers ready to fill in if there are staff absences. We also have a regular DBS approved Volunteer.

Our Staff have other roles too e.g. SAFEGUARDING OFFICER, HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER. SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS & DISABILITY CO-ORDINATOR, EQUALITY NEEDS CO-ORDINATOR.

All staff understands the importance to attend CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – which includes FIRST AID; FOOD HYGIENE, SAFEGUARDING; HEALTH & SAFETY; PREVENT DUTY; Mental Wellbeing in Children; English as a Second Language; Autism  ETC.
